WORLD AI FILM FESTIVAL 2026 in KYOTO
The first international partner festival held in Japan as part of the official Road to WAIFF Cannes program. Award-winning works selected in Kyoto will be eligible for official entry to WAIFF Cannes 2026, with selected films scheduled for the special Japan Focus screening at the Palais des Festivals on April 21, 2026. Outstanding titles may represent Japan in the Best Film from International Partners category at the final Gala Awards in Cannes.
